Some of the habits of successful farm managers include being innovative and cost conscious, and evaluating the returns on alternative technologies and investments. Cash flow management is key in preserving working capital in these tight economic times. Crop insurance and marketing present opportunities to manage risks. All topics will be covered at this half-day workshop. A panel discussion of successful farm managers will bring home these topics to implementable strategies. An optional computer session in the afternoon will go over developing a cash flow for an individual operation.
